The end of 2019 brought about a major change in the Crowley Fire Department. That change is the fact that the man who has been a part of the CFD for more than three decades has decided to hang up his hose. Chief Jody Viator has retired.

According to this post on Chief Viator's Facebook page.

That my friends is quite a career. 30 plus years serving the citizens of his community is a legacy that most of us won't ever have the opportunity to fulfill, but Chief Viator has done so.

He's run a very solid and reputable department in his time as Chief. All we can say is Congratulations Chief! We certainly wish for you and your family the very best that life has to offer and we thank you for your dedication to our community as a public servant for all those many years.
