Arrest Made In Crowley Shooting
UPDATE: Crowley Police arrested 33-year-old Joseph B. Guidry, Jr. in a Sunday shooting believed to be retaliation for a Saturday night shooting that left one man dead. Guidry turned himself in Sunday night and has been charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder with a $200,000 bail.
UPDATE: Crowley Police say a shooting last night that left one man dead sparked another shooting this morning that injured two people.
A man was shot in the head last night near the 600 block of North Avenue B and later died in a Lafayette hospital. Then around 10:30 this morning, a second confrontation near the 500 block of West Hutchinson Avenue —that police are saying was related to last night's shooting — ended when two people were shot in a vehicle, although their injuries are considered "non-life threatening."
Although neither the shooters nor victims have been identified, police say there is a lead in the case.
