Detectives Investigating Homicide in St. Mary Parish

A Baldwin woman is dead after being shot over the weekend and St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputies are investigating it as a homicide.

According to the press release from Sheriff Blaise Smith's office, deputies responded to a call at 12:31 a.m. on Saturday morning to find the woman had been transported to a hospital where she later died.

The victim's identity has not been released yet.
