“The Lafayette Food Junkie Show,” which has been airing from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday nights here on Newstalk 96.5 KPEL, has given Lafayette and the Acadiana area its own show dedicated to the food we all love to enjoy and talk about since November of 2013!

In the first episode of 2015, Tiffiany Decou “The Lafayette Food Junkie,” and Chef Zack Doise decided to address ways that you can eat (and drink) healthier to start the new year.

First, Tiffiany and Chef Zack brought on food coach Daphne Oliver to talk about a 30-day real food challenge. They discussed just what is "real food" and what are some of the costs associated with keeping up a diet like this.

Second, the crew brought on Melodie McMath with Evolve to chat about juice cleansing. They addressed what exactly a cleanse is, how long people should do a cleanse for and how many times a year you should do one.

Tiffiany and Zack also discussed the opening of the new restaurant "Dark Roux," as well as other food topics.
