Eunice Man Dies In Early Morning Crash

Shortly before 7:30 this morning (Wednesday) a two vehicle crash claimed the life of 24 year old Brock Lebouef of Eunice. According to State Police Lebouef's vehicle veered off the right side of LA 91 and Lebouef seems to have over corrected. Lebouef's vehicle then crossed the center line and was struck by a pickup truck driven by 55 year old Douglas Short of Iota.Lebouef died at the scene, Short suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Neither Lebouef or Short was wearing a seatbelt. It's unknown if impairment was a factor but routine toxicology samples were taken and sent to the Crime Lab for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
