Fires Intentionally Set At Lafayette Home
There are three homes that are vacant on a property on Carmel Drive, and Lafayette fire officials say someone set a fire at two of the homes.
Lafayette Fire Department Spokesman and Investigator Alton Trahan, says via press release, that they were called out to a blaze at home in the 1100 block of Carmel Drive.
There are actually three vacant homes on that property, and one of the homes could be seen with a tremendous amount of smoke coming from the structure.
When the fire fighters started checking the other houses, they found a small fire in another home.
It took about ten minutes to bring the fire under control at the first structure.

These rental properties were sitting vacant for about two weeks before this fire at around 4:30 this morning.
