Florida Child Rapist Arrested In Louisiana

A Florida man accused of raping a child has been taken into custody in Louisiana. State Police say say they got information that James Watkins was entering Louisiana through I-10, possibly on his way to the Mexican border. Police staked out both I-10 and I-12 and made the stop on I-12 near the Tangipahoa/Livingston Parish Line. Watkins is in the Tangipahoa Jail awaiting extradition to Florida. The child he is accused of raping was under 12-years-old.
