Funeral Services Set For Mother, Son Killed In Monday Crash
Funeral services have been arranged for the 23-year-old mother and 7-year-old boy who were both killed Monday morning in a crash north of Carencro.
Services for Kristen Trimm and her son Branson Taylor will held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia. Visiting hours will be held between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday and then again from 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Family members said Taylor, who was a first-grader at Coteau Elementary School, loved hunting, fishing, riding the four-wheeler, and otherwise being outside.
Trimm loved music and enjoyed driving around while visiting friends and family.
Trimm and Taylor were killed while they were driving east on La. Hwy. 1252 Monday morning. State police are still trying to figure out why the car crossed into the westbound lane and crashed nearly head-on into a pickup truck.
Trimm and her passenger were wearing seat belts, but Taylor was not.
