‘Game of Thrones’ Upcoming Finale has Republicans and Democrats in Agreement
One of the biggest shows on Television has been pulled into the political realm. But how this happened may leave you surprised.
Ahead of tonight's highly anticipated series finale of Game of Thrones, consulting firms Firehouse Strategies and Optimus released data from a survey that broke down what viewers think about the show based on party affiliation.
According to FirehouseStrategies.com, 2,360 registered voters were surveyed and asked to weigh in on a variety of Game of Thrones, and Political questions. Some key findings are listed below:
1. Who should rule Westeros?
- Jon Snow – 50%
- Arya Stark – 12%
- Sansa Stark – 11%
- Daenerys Targaryen – 11%
- Tyrion Lannister – 10%
- Someone else – 7%
The poll shows overwhelming support for Jon Snow's ultimate taking of the Iron Throne regardless of party affiliation.
2. Favorability of the Main Characters.
According to the survey, House Stark was universally liked by both parties. Jon and Arya Stark tied with 89% favorability. Sansa Stark sat at 64% favorability.
Both Republicans and Democrats agree however that Cersei Lannister is rather unpleasant. She sits at a 22% favorability rating.
3. White Walkers v. Climate Change.
People were quite divided on the issue regarding what posed a bigger threat at the start of the GOT season. The results are:
- Man-Made Climate Change-44%
- White Walkers-45%
4. Trump's Border Wall v. Wall in the North.
- Trump's Border Wall-29%
- Wall in the North-60%
Unsurprisingly, when people were asked which wall was more effective, The Wall in the North took the cake. This was supported by both parties who believed that the 700-foot wall of ice offered better protection than a steel slatted wall across the southern border.
