Hernandez associate facing Conn. weapons charges

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Police say an associate of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez is facing weapons charges related to a shooting outside a Hartford nightclub.

Police say Alexander Bradley was shot multiple times in the leg Sunday night outside the Vevo Lounge Bar & Grill and then opened fire himself.

Hartford Police Lt. Brian Foley says Bradley faces charges including criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful discharge of firearm. He was arrested early Monday.

An attorney for Bradley declined to comment.

Bradley alleges in a Florida lawsuit that he lost his right eye when Hernandez shot him in the face as they argued outside a Miami club in February. Hernandez is detained on a murder charge in the death last year of a semi-professional football player.
