Iberia Parish law enforcement officials are asking the public to be on the lookout for a truck that was stolen from a New Iberia business this morning.

According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the Wal-Mart Supercenter, at 1205 E. Admiral Doyle Dr., at approximately 10 a.m. in reference to a vehicle theft.

The victim told deputies the dark blue 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was parked with the keys in it as he was waiting for the truck to be serviced when the suspect entered the vehicle and drove off.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6' tall and approximately 240 lbs. He is estimated to be about 40 years old. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a gray jump suit and carrying a red duffle bag.

Deputies are asking anyone with information on the theft to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office at 369-3711.
