According to officials with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, they have now learned that a fifth person was also wounded due to the shooting.

Last night St. Mary Parish deputies were called out to begin investigating after there were shots fired around Rosebud and Baptiste Streets in Baldwin.

According to Sheriff's department Spokesman David Spencer, four people were hurt because of the shots that were fired at around 10:30 Sunday night.

While a motive for the shooting has yet to be released, officials with the St. Mary Sheriff's Office have opened an investigation. Officials say they will not be releasing any other information at this time.
