Adopt a Pet at Bark in the Park at Girard Park on March 29

In addition, organizers will have dogs and cats available for adoption at the event! If you have been thinking about adopting, this Sunday, March 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., you can visit with the animals up for adoption.

Acadiana Animal Aid officials explain that the event will feature a kids' area, community vendors, arts and crafts, food trucks with food for purchase, and music by The Steel Blue Band from Comeaux High School.

This event is obviously pet-friendly, but a gentle reminder that you do need to follow all City of Lafayette rules and regulations, including leashing your pet and picking up after it.

For this weekend, grab a large blanket, bring your chairs, the leashes for your pets, and come party with us at Bark in the Park! It's sure to be a paw-some time!!! Let's help Acadiana Animal Aid raise money for their wonderful shelter.
