Baton Rouge Mayor's FAFO Warning Targets Illegal Dumping

(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards has seen enough, and now he is warning those who illegally dump trash in the city that they willl be caught and fined.

In a video his social media team posted online, Edwards is seen standing near dumped trash, and you can hear in his voice that he has had enough.

The Mayor-President says that the city will not tolerate those who illegally dump trash within the city, and he says that the fines will be extensive.

Edwards is so angry about the litter in his city that he even uses the acronym "FAFO" when addressing those who are dumping trash. If you aren't familiar with the acronym, a quick Google search will inform you, and it's a pretty powerful message.

For years, many communities across Louisiana have been battling litter and illegal dumping, and like Baton Rouge, these communities have seen enough, and they are going after those who continue to dump trash in public.

Many of the communities targeting illegal dumping are now resorting to cameras in areas where litter is most prominent, and we have seen several municipalities broadcast on social media people dumping trash, which ultimately leads to their arrest or citations.
