Everything is bigger in Texas. Even their snow.

They have been working with their partner in Texas to identify and evaluate potential locations in the state.

So, what exactly is Alpine-X?

Alpine-X is a holding company whose mission is to develop family-centric active lifestyle communities and experience-based sports entertainment venues throughout the United States.

Some of their sports entertainment venues and ancillary facilities include:

  • Indoor Snowsports Facilities with Alpine Slope and Terrain Park for Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Tubing
  • Wave Pools and Waterparks
  • Mountain Coasters
  • Ropes Courses
  • Biking, Walking, and Jogging Trails
  • Alpine-Themed Restaurants and Bars
  • Outfitters and Retail Shops
  • Hotels
  • And more

So, it looks like they'll be bringing an indoor snowpark to Texas.

What are they planning on building in Texas?

Due to disclosure confidentiality restrictions, Alpine-X said they cannot divulge all the details just yet.

However, they did say that it will involve snowsports, regardless of location or weather.

"Get ready to ski in a ten-gallon hat because we’re bringing snow year-round to the Lone Star State," Alpine-X representatives said in a press release.

They added:

"All properties developed under the joint venture will be branded as Alpine-X Indoor Snowsports Resorts, and we will operate the resorts under long-term management and license agreements...Each resort will feature an enormous indoor snow area, with dedicated areas for skiing/boarding, teaching, and snow play; a hotel; multiple food and beverage options; an indoor adventure area; and other amenities and facilities."
