Governor Jindal says he supports one lawmaker's attempt to get neglected rural roads and highways fixed.

House Appropriations Chairman Jim Fannin has pre-filed a bill that would allow the state to sell 20-year bonds to raise 325-million dollars to fix neglected rural roads and highways.

Jindal says the money would be used to improve nearly a thousand miles of roads that are not eligible for federal matching dollars. Jindal says there are roads in every parish that have not seen major work in 30 years.
