LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- The person believed to be responsible for a home burglary in St. Martin Parish last week was arrested at a Lafayette convenience store last night.

Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Jacoldy Fox of Lafayette allegedly broke into the Smede Highway home Sept. 13.

Fox was arrested at the Verot School Road convenience store with the help of Lafayette Police and the U.S. Marshall's Violent Offender Task Force, Higgins says.

Fox was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on charges of armed robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated criminal damage to property, and simple battery. His bond has been set at $500,200.
