
Lafayette Man Identified in Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle on Willow Street
The victim of a fatal crash on East Willow Street has been identified as Nicholas Barron, a 30-year-old Lafayette resident, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
The collision, which occurred Tuesday evening in the 1300 block of East Willow Street, involved a motorcycle and an SUV. Police say the SUV was traveling eastbound when it attempted a left turn onto Dogwood Drive, colliding with Barron’s westbound motorcycle. Barron sustained fatal injuries at the scene, while the driver of the SUV was not suspected of impairment.
The Lafayette Police Department Traffic Unit is leading the ongoing investigation into the crash. As the investigation continues we will provide updates as they become available.
