54-year-old Michael Thomas of Lafayette has died from Tuesday night's shooting at St. Anthony Park. Two male teenagers - a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old - have each been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

Lafayette Police spokesperson Cpl. Bridgette Dugas says both teenagers were arrested at their home following the shooting. They've both been booked into the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center.

The 16-year-old faces additional charges of Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The 13-year-old faces additional charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a firearm by a Juvenile and Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number.

According to Cpl. Dugas, this is not the 13-year-old's first brush with police. In recent months, he was detained by LPD officers in reference to several curfew violations within city limits.

Authorities continue to investigate.
