
Lafayette Police Investigate Deadly Shooting on MLK Jr. Drive
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) — Lafayette police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man dead and the department searching for suspects.
According to a statement from the Lafayette Police Department on Friday, officers responded to reports of gunfire on MLK Jr. Drive late Thursday night. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a deceased male dead from apparent gunshot wounds at the scene.

Police have identified the deceased as Joseph Bargeman Jr., 24, of Lafayette.
