Lafayette Police Report Body Found In Vermilion River

The Lafayette Police Department confirms the body of the driver of a car found near the Camellia Boulevard Bridge was recovered Sunday morning. According to our news partner, KATC, the Lafayette Police Department and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Marine Division began searching for the driver Saturday afternoon. Foul play is not suspected but the investigation is ongoing.
