Last night night at 9:00pm Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies investigated a shooting in the 600 block of Fifth Street in Duson and arrested two people.

Upon arrival deputies discovere 26 year old Paul Felix and been shot in the upper leg. After investigating deputies searched for the suspect and discovered 25 year old Donavan Henry nearby, took him into custody and recovered a .38 caliber handgun they believe was used in the shooting. The weapon had previously been reported stolen.

It was learned that the two men were involved in an altercation where Felix, the victim in the shooting allegedly shot at Henry and missed with a .45 caliber handgun which was also recovered.

Donavan Henry was charged with one count of attempted 2nd degree murder, possession of a stolen firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
