Lafayette Woman Hospitalized Following Afternoon Shooting
A Lafayette woman has been hospitalized after a shooting this afternoon at a home on Lafayette's Doc Duhon Street.
Lafayette Police spokesman Cpl. Karl Ratcliff said at approximately 2:00pm, Lafayette Police responded to a shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Doc Duhon St.
A 34-year-old black female victim was transported and treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound.
The victim remains in critical condition.
Ratcliff said the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic altercation. However, the details of the incident are still under investigation.
No arrests have been reported in connection to this incident.
