Louisiana High School Student Arrested After Sneaking Gun Into School Via His Wheelchair
Kids these days can be creative if nothing else. A 17-year-old high school student at Woodlawn High School in Louisiana was arrested on Wednesday after it was alleged he hid a gun in the cushion of his wheelchair and brought it onto school property.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, which made the arrest, has identified the student as Kevin Evans III.
The school's principal said she was notified of Evans' handgun by another student.
Evans was then called to the principal's office, and a Glock with an extended magazine was found in the cushion of the wheelchair.
A 9th grader at the school, Evans confessed to bringing the weapon to school but said that his friends played in his wheelchair and they could have put it there.
