Breaux Bridge Man Killed While Walking Away From Accident

A Breaux Bridge man was killed while walking away from a single-vehicle crash in St. Martinville.

According to KLFY News 10, Langston Timothy Mayfield, 34, of Breaux Bridge, was killed early Friday morning while walking away from a single-vehicle crash.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving a pedestrian just after midnight, on Friday morning.

While the crash remains under investigation, authorities do believe that Mayfield was involved in a crash prior to being hit by a vehicle and that he was walking away from the scene where he crashed.

Toxicology results are pending in this case. In a social media post, The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office thanked the Breaux Bridge Police Department for assisting them in this incident.
