Major Gas Leak in Eunice Now Under Control; Evacuation Lifted (UPDATE)

UPDATE: The Eunice City Marshal's Office says the roads are now open and residents are able to return to their homes.

There is a major gas leak in  Eunice between North 8th & 9th Streets at Vine Street.

Roads in an eight-block area have been closed to traffic and some homes and businesses have been evacuated by police and fireman.

Citizens have been urged to avoid the area.
