Morgan City Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

St. Martin Parish deputies were called out to the scene of a motorcycle crash at 2:00pm Sunday. When deputies arrived at the accident site on Four Mile Bayou Road in Stephensville they found 25 year old Trenton L. Heflin had been ejected from his motorcycle after veering off the road, striking a utility pole and coming to a stop in the bayou. Heflin was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigation indicates impairment was not a factor but excessive speed may have contributed to the accident.
