
Multiple People Injured in Second Shooting in Mamou, Louisiana
UPDATE: Two people are dead, and both are juveniles. I am also told that the number injured is close to or just beyond a couple dozen.
Some that were injured and went to the hospital were injured in a stampede following the shooting Tuesday afternoon
KLFY News 10 reports that one person of interest in the shooting is in police custody. Authorities are asking all victims in the shooting to contact them.
We have reached out to the Mamou Police Department for a statement on the shooting, and we are waiting to hear back from the Chief of Police.

More shots have been fired at a street dance in Mamou, Louisiana, for Mardi Gras.
Sources are telling me that several people are injured in Mamou, and that there may even be fatalities. A person I spoke to tells me that there are multiple fatalities in this shooting.
This comes after shots were fired Monday night at the same street dance that left two injured.
The video sent to me shows police with guns drawn and people on the ground.

Chris ArdoIn, who was performing on stage at the time of the shooting, went LIVE on social media to discuss what he experienced, and you can hear in his voice that he is devastated.
Photos from outside the hospital in Mamou were sent to us, and you can see a large police presence and multiple ambulances on site to transport patients to other hospitals.
