New Photo Of Ailing Martial Arts Star Jet Li Is Breaking The Internet’s Heart

Jet Li was a huge action star in the late 90's, early 2000's, and beyond.

His last on screen appearance in the US was in 2014's The Expendables 3. That's because in 2013, Li announced that he was suffering from hyperthyroidism as well as heart and spinal conditions.

During a recent visit to Tibet, a fan of Li's took a picture with the 55-year-old star. It's uncertain that had it not said his name on the picture, that anyone would have recognized him. He appears much older than his age.

While the disease he's suffering from has took it's toll, there is a chance that it was just a bad angle, or the picture was snapped at the wrong time and it made him look worse for wear.

Li put out a New Year's video to his fans at the beginning of 2018. In the video, Li sports a bald head, but he's recognizable.

Amid the reaction the above photo is getting, Li's manager has spoken out, and says that his illness is nothing life threatening.
