Passenger Dies After Crash In Lafayette
Officials with the Lafayette Police Department have now identified the passenger in a car involved in a fatal crash Monday in Lafayette.
At around 6 o'clock on the evening of Monday, October 12, the Lafayette Police Department was called out to a crash in which the passenger, 19-year-old Carrie Guidroz, ended up dying from injuries sustained in this motor vehicle crash.
In all, three people were taken to the hospital.
Lafayette Police Department Sergeant Wayne Griffin, a spokesman for the department, says that the crash happened in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue. He says that they still do not know why a car ended up in the oncoming traffic. The first car, traveling southbound, traveled over the line and hit the other car.
The other two people who were taken to receive treatment had non-life threatening injuries.
Griffin says they are still investigating this crash.
