Police Arrest Third Suspect In Opelousas Shooting; Fourth Suspect Still At Large
OPELOUSAS, La. (KPEL) -- Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning.
An Opelousas Police Department spokesperson said Thursday that D'angilo Rubin turned himself in just before 2 p.m. He will be charged with attempted second-degree murder, police said.
Police responded early Wednesday morning to reports of a shooting on Redmond Street. Police said a gunshot grazed the head of the victim. That person was transported to Opelousas General "where he was treated and released."
The victim told investigators he was with a "young woman who drove him to the 800 block of Kim Drive, where he was approached by three black males [who] approached and shot him," police said.
Eighteen-year-old Yo'shema Turner, the young woman who drove the victim to the scene, and 23-year-old Tyrone Roberts were arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted second-degree murder. A fourth suspect, 20-year-old Casey Rubin, is still at large.
