Port Allen Man Indicted On Murder Charges
PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) — A West Baton Rouge Parish grand jury has charged a 22-year-old Port Allen man with second-degree murder in the May 13 fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Brusly High School student.
Assistant District Attorney Tony Clayton says Marcus Richardson faces life in prison without the benefit of parole if convicted as charged in the death of Justin Warner.
Warner, a student at Brusly High School, was fatally wounded by random gunfire about 10 p.m. May 13 in the La. 1 Exxon Truck Plaza parking lot.
Clayton said Richardson was in the middle of an altercation with several individuals at the gas station when Warner drove up and stepped out of his vehicle as shots were being fired.
