Jacques Rodrigue, Executive Director of the the Rodrigue Foundation, and son of the late artist, George Rodrigue joined Acadiana's Morning News today to talk about a scholarship contest and Hurricane Harvey aid.

Junior and senior high school students are asked to submit their original two dimensial art to the foundation for a chance to win part of $45,000 in scholarships to be given to the fifteen finalists.

Art should be on the subject of this year's theme, "Monsters, Myths, and Legends". The final day to enter the contest is January 19.

The Foundation is also raising money for school chilren who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. They are selling prints of "We Will Rise", the Blue Dog art that was sold after Hurricane Katrina.
