21-year-old Joseph Broussard of Lafayette is the man accused of carrying out Thursday's shooting, which injured two victims. Lafayette Police Department spokesperson Sergeant Nicole Oakes says the injuries are non life-threatening.

After a search of a home where Broussard was believed to be at turned up empty, officers say they are asking for Broussard to turn himself in or for anyone with any information to call the Lafayette Police Department at 337-291-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.

Broussard is wanted for 2 Counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Sergeant Nicole Oakes tells KPEL that they have shut down all lanes of Moss Street right near the Post Office as they are searching for a shooting suspect they believe could be there.

One person suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Officers with the Lafayette Police Department have been called out to an apartment complex on Moss Street after reports of shots being fired.

The area where the shooting happened is in the 1100 block of Moss Street.

This is in the same area right across from the Moss Street Post Office.
