St. Landry Crime Stoppers Catches Convicted Felon Who Burglarized Vehicle

19-year-old Davonte Chane Edwards of Opelousas has been arrested for allegedly stealing a gun from a vehicle on Government Road in Opelousas.

It took only 13 minutes for Edwards to be identified after Crime Stoppers posted his photo. He was arrested at his home and transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and booked for Simple Burglary and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His bond has been set for $7,500.00.
