Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Trooper Thomas Gossen says, via press release, that a man from Washington died in one one-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 103 last night.

Gossen says that 20-year-old Caleb Alexander Doucet was driving southbound on the highway near Hebert Ortego Road when he lost control of his truck. When Doucet lost control, the truck went off of the roadway and ended up hitting a tree.

As investigators were working to determine the situation concerning the crash, they determined that Doucet was not wearing a seat belt when the crash happened.

Doucet was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 103 by the St. Landry Parish Coroner's Office. Gossen says that routine toxicology tests will be run as they continue to investigate the crash that happened around 8 o'clock last night.

This is the fourteenth death in twelve fatal crash so far this year according to Gossen.
