St. Landry Parish Still Drying Out

St. Landry Parish President Bill Fontenot visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today and said his parish is far from being dried out.  Fontenot said,

Most events happen in one spot like one town or city but our entire parish was impacted by the rain and flooding we had last week.

According to Fontenot,

Various bayous have overflowed and the event continues as more rain is forecast for today.  But it finally looks like the rain is diminishing.

Fontenot praised his staff and others,

I can't say enough about my staff and others who contributed their time and efforts to help everyone impacted this flooding.  Basically we had an "all out" effort 24/7.
