Louisiana State Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a fatal hit and run that happened on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista August 11.

Traffic officers say 31-year-old Mark Jospeh Montie Jr. or Pineville was driving his truck in the Wal-Mart parking lot when he tried to cross the westbound lanes of Highway 90 to get into the turning lane.

Jerome Rudolph Jr. of Patterson was on his motorcycle driving towards Wal-Mart, and when Rudolph got near Montie’s truck, Montie pulled right into the path of Rudolph’s motorcycle, and Rudolph died.
