14 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 104 complaints over the 72-hour weekend reporting period.

Decator J. Crochet, Jr., 19, 515 Oregon Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 1:50 pm for no driver’s license, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy was dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash on US Highway 90 near Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista. While speaking with Crochet, the deputy found that he was operating one of the vehicles involved in the crash without a driver’s license and without insurance on the car. The deputy also collected evidence that the car’s brakes were faulty. Crochet was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Rick Mccurtis, 36, 544 Verdun Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 2:56 pm for stop sign violation and driving with a suspended license. A deputy observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the US Highway 90 off ramp at LA Highway 317 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the driver, Mccurtis, and found that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Mccurtis was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Thomas Spencer, 36, 402 Loire Avenue, Apt. C, Lafayette, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 4:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Spencer from the St. Martin Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. Correctional officers received information that the $591.75 has been paid and Spencer was released.

Katelynn Morgan, 23, 411 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 4:01 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation.

Leann Jones, 30, 356 Azalea Drive, Donner, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 3:53 pm for possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles and driving under suspension.

A deputy observed Morgan, who was wanted on an active warrant, sitting inside a vehicle parked at a business on LA Highway 182 in Morgan City. While speaking with Morgan, the deputy observed an open alcoholic beverage inside the car. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Jones, and found that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Jones was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017. Morgan was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $5,000.

Charlotte McNabb, 52, 1530 Highway 90 Lot #8, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 20, 2017 at 6:40 pm for theft of goods. A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting from a store in Bayou Vista located the suspect, McNabb, at her residence. The deputy also located the stolen items, including several DVD’s, at McNabb’s residence. McNabb was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Elijah Johnson, 24, 128 Becky Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 21, 2017 at 2:18 am on a warrant for 2 counts criminal damage to property and on a warrant for domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy responding to a request to remove a subject made contact with Johnson who was parked in the driveway of a residence in Patterson. The deputy located the two active warrants for Johnson’s arrest. The warrant for property damage was issued following an investigation in June of 2016 in which a deputy found evidence that Johnson broke a glass bottle on the victim’s vehicle and broke the victim’s cell phone. The warrant for unauthorized entry was obtained following an investigation into a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Patterson in May of 2016. The responding deputy collected evidence that Johnson entered onto private property, struck a female victim, and damaged a tire on her vehicle. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $4,750.

Bradley Buteau, 58, 19397 Highway 182, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 3:24 am for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, second offense. Deputies responded to a vehicle crash on Chitimacha Trail in Baldwin and found that a pick-up truck had struck a residence. During the the investigation, deputies collected evidence that Buteau lost control of the pick-up truck, struck a parked vehicle, and then traveled completely through a wall of the garage of the home and then partially exiting the structure. No injuries were reported. While speaking with Buteau, deputies smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. A deputy conducted a field sobriety test. Buteau performed the test poorly. He later registered a 0.095g% blood alcohol concentration. Buteau was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Buteau was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Fidel Garcia, 53, 126 Chirpy’s Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 4:51 am for hit and run driving and careless operation of a motor vehicle with a crash. A deputy was dispatched to a vehicle crash on the frontage road of Highway 182 in Amelia. The deputy located an SUV partially submerged in water. While speaking with several subjects on scene, the deputy developed information that the driver, Garcia, had left the area following the crash. The deputy located Garcia at his residence. Following the investigation, Garcia was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Asia Do, 21, 111 Pearl Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 1:07 pm on a warrant from Jeanerette City Court for failure to appear on the charge of exceeding the maximum speed limit. A deputy responding to a request to stand by while a subject removed items from a residence made contact with Do and located the active warrant for her arrest. Do was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

Ricky Tyler, 58, no address, was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 2:08 pm for criminal trespass and vagrancy. A deputy responded to a report of a trespasser on a property in Amelia. The deputy located Tyler inside a residence. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Tyler had been living at the location after being told to leave the property. Tyler was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Tyler was later released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Darrel Stevens, 74, 1217 Onstead Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 4:06 pm for no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy re-routing traffic at Thorguson Drive and US Highway 90 in Berwick due to a crash on the bridge, observed the driver of a pick-up truck use the shoulder of the roadway to by-pass a marked unit that had emergency lights activated. The deputy stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, identified as Stevens. The deputy found that Stevens was operating the vehicle without insurance. Stevens was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Vergil Bowen, 63, 1927 River Road, Lot #4, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 22, 2017 at 9:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of no lights on while operating wipers and driving under suspension. Bowen was also charged on a Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections Division of Probation and Parole warrant for probation violation. A deputy located Bowen at his residence on the warrants and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $4,000.

Ryan J. Ledet, 23, 135 Aucoin Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 1:10 am for possession of Schedule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation of a motor vehicle and failure to report crash and/or provide proper ID. A deputy responding to a report of a suspicious person at a residence in Amelia made contact with Ledet and located the active warrant for his arrest. While taking Ledet into custody the deputy observed him drop 2 small plastic bags containing a green leafy substance to the floor. The deputy recovered suspected synthetic marijuana and located a homemade water pipe in Ledet’s room. Ledet was transported to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center. Ledet was released on a $4,000 bond.
