6 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 37 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Richard Sauce, 41, 189 Polaris Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on march 23, 2017 at 6:26 pm for filing a false report and illegal possession of stolen things. While investigating a civil complaint, a deputy found that Sauce gave false information. Sauce told deputies over the phone that he was out of town. However, a deputy located his vehicle in the parking lot of a business in Bayou Vista and then located Sauce at the business. The deputy also found that the license plate displayed on Sauce’s vehicle had been reported stolen. Sauce was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Heidi Sams, 38, 407 4th Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 23, 2017 at 6:29 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Sams was also charged on a warrant for probation violation. A deputy investigating a civil matter encountered Sams at a residence on Polaris Road in Bayou Vista and located the active warrants for her arrest. Sams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

The following arrest was made on March 22, 2017.

Kendrick Madison, 39, 521 Augustine Maze Street, Franklin, LA was arrested at 4:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. While booking Madison at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

Matthew Green, 22, 8600 Highway 182, Centerville, LA was arrested on march 23, 2017 at 3:37 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Green was also charged on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.

 

Zoie Charpentier, 18, 2060 Highway 317, Centerville, LA was arrested on March 23, 2017 at 3:37 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

St. Mary Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section detectives investigated possible illegal drug activity at Green’s residence. Detectives conducted a search warrant at the location in February and located several bags of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Warrants on the charges were issued. Narcotics detectives located Green and Charpentier at Green’s residence. Charpentier was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017. Green was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $106,500.

 

Renaldo K. Toussaint, Sr., 39, 211 Batiste Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 23, 2017 at 9:03 pm for the following offenses:

  • Improper lane usage
  • Reckless operation of a vehicle
  • Resisting an officer
  • Warrant for aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce and resisting an officer
  • 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling in the middle of the roadway over the centerline of Martin Luther King, Jr. Road. Detectives initiated a traffic stop. The driver failed to pull over driving through 3 stop signs without stopping in the area of the frontage road and Coulee and Batiste Streets. While following the vehicle, detectives identified the driver as Toussaint whom they knew to be wanted on warrants. Toussaint stopped the vehicle on Batiste Street where detectives effected the arrest. The warrant for aggravated obstruction of a highway and resisting an officer was issued following an investigation of illegal drug activity in Baldwin in October. Toussaint fled in a vehicle nearly striking a narcotics detective. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
