Sunday Shooting Sends Two to Lafayette Hospital
It was not the quiet Sunday night that the men and women of law enforcement in Lafayette were hoping for. Instead, they were called to a scene on Hopkins Street in Lafayette about 9 pm last night. The reason for the call was a report of shots fired.
When Lafayette Police arrived on the scene in the 500 block of Hopkins Street they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Those individuals were transported to a local hospital with what authorities are describing as non-life-threatening injuries.
Since the incident happed only hours ago, very few details have been released to the media. Lafayette Police did confirm to KLFY Television the details we have described above. However, police have not released the identity of the victims nor have they released any information on possible motives or suspects.
