It's kind of hard to bring in the crawfish from your ponds if someone has stolen your boat motor, and that is just the case in Acadia Parish.

There Crime Stoppers program is featuring the case of a stolen motor taken from a crawfish farm in the area around Mamou Prairie Road.

It's not inexpensive to replace something like this.

Police say the value of the motor is $1,700 which someone trying to get their product to the market for a good price probably doesn't just have on hand.

If you think you know anything about this case, you should call Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers at 789-TIPS(8477), or you can also share information anonymously by using the P3 app on your phone.

This crime happened on March 20 near Iota.
