(St. Martinville, La.)-  Two males were arrested Saturday, accused of illegally killing an elk. On Saturday, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to trespassers on an exotic animal farm in the Arnaudville area. The owner of the farm located suspects David Breaux Jr., 21, Delcambre, along with a white male juvenile subject from St. Martinville, as they were attempting to exit the property with a large Elk which had just been illegally killed by the two suspects. The value of the Elk was approximately $10,000.00.
Upon arrival, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office seized two shotguns along with a four-wheeler. Upon further investigation it was learned that the suspects were possibly using a four-wheeler that is believed to have been stolen from a residence in the City of Delcambre sometime last year.  At the time of this release, Detectives were awaiting final confirmation regarding the status of the possible stolen four wheeler. 
 
David Breaux Jr., was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
 
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
Four counts of Criminal Trespass
Five counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals
 Simple Criminal Damage to Property under $500.00
Simple Criminal Damage to Property over $500.00
 Four counts Theft under $500.00
 
The male juvenile suspect was arrested and booked in to the St. Martin Parish Juvenile Detention Center on the following charges:
 
Four counts of Criminal Trespass
Five counts Aggravated Cruelty to Animals
Simple Criminal Damage to Property under $500.00
Simple Criminal Damage to Property over $500.00
 Four counts Theft under $500.00
