A Broussard man has been arrested for shooting his neighbor after a fight.

According to KATC TV3, a Saturday evening altercation between neighbors ended with a woman being shot.

Phillip Douglas LeBlanc III was arrested on Saturday for Attempted Murder (2nd Degree), Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of Marijuana, and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon.

According to the report, the incident took place on Mary Street in Broussard. LeBlanc fired the weapon after an altercation involving his neighbors. The round he fired struck a woman in the hand; she was treated at a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Police recovered one handgun, several rounds of ammunition, and what is believed to be marijuana.

LeBlanc was being held on an $82,500 bond.
