2 Dead, Several Injured in Lafayette Business Parking Lot Shooting

Lafayette Police are investigating a tragic shooting in the parking lot of a local business on the 400 block of East University Avenue, which has left two victims dead and two others in critical condition. Authorities responded to the scene earlier this evening (Nov. 9), where they discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to Lafayette Police Detective Kenderis M. Handy, four individuals were struck by gunfire in the incident. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, a second victim succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival. The two remaining victims are reported to be in critical condition.

Police investigators are still working to uncover what led up to the shooting and have established a crime scene in the area. Authorities are actively seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any relevant details.
