Man Wanted By Four Parishes Caught Hiding In Iberia Parish

A man wanted by Iberia Parish Sheriff's officials has been taken into custody.  52-year-old Neil Laperouse has outstanding warrants from Iberia, Acadia, Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes.

Iberia Parish Detectives, acting on a tip, were able to find Laperouse hiding in an abandoned house in the Loreauville area.  He was taken into custody without incident for having two outstanding warrants for issuing worthless checks in Iberia Parish.

Laperouse is wanted by the other three parishes for allegations of contractor fraud.  He is waiting on extradition.
