As the sun rises across Texas this morning most of us are waking up cold. There are single digit temperatures in the Panhandle around Amarillo, Lubbock, and Borger. It's a little more tolerable around Abilene and San Angelo. And even along the coast near Beaumont, Houston and Galveston, it's just barely above freezing. It's a good thing our favorite Texas Lottery games have suddenly become blazing hot.

Friday night the Texas Lottery confirmed a single ticket had claimed a Mega Millions Jackpot of $113. That big-money winner was sold in Arizona. So no jackpot win for a Texas-sold ticket on Saturday. But don't forget, there was also a drawing for Lotto Texas with Extra! on Saturday night. That game's top prize was more than $69 million.

Let's go through the particular details for Powerball first. Here is how the drawing for Saturday, January 18, 2025, played out last night.

At the time of Saturday's drawing the estimated top prize in the Powerball Jackpot was listed at $328.1 million. The cash payout or lump sum payout on last night's win was estimated to be just over $146 million. Our sources as Powerball say the jackpot winner was purchased in Oregon.  There was also a Match 5 Million plus Powerball winner sold in Michigan for last night's game. That ticket is worth $2 million.

The largest single ticket prize earned in Saturday's Powerball drawing in Texas was $50,000. Two tickets sold in Texas for the game earned that prize. The ticket purchasers did not opt for the Powerplay function which would have doubled their winnings last night.  The Texas Lottery data sheet shows a little over 55-thousand Texans won prizes in Saturday's Powerball a little over 22-thousand of those winners doubled their money with the Power Play.

Here are the numbers from Saturday's Powerball:

14   31   35   64   69   Powerball 23    Power Play x2

Based on those numbers if you feel like you're holding a winner then you'll need to verify that ticket at the Official Texas Lottery Website or the Official Powerball Website. They are the sites of record and have all the prize redemption information you'll need.

The Powerball jackpot and the Mega Millions jackpot will both start at $20 million with their next drawing. The Powerball game will draw again on Monday night. The Mega Millions game will be drawn on Tuesday.

We still have one more drawing to discuss from Saturday. The Lotto Texas with Extra! game drew for $69.25 million last night. And as has been the case since last June, there was no jackpot winner. The top prize in Lotto Texas will jump to $70 million. That game will draw alongside Powerball on Monday night.
