Officials with Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers are hoping that someone will be able to give them information about how to locate shooting suspect Dustin Magnon.

In a press release, officials with Acadia Crime Stoppers say they are helping the Rayne Police Department get the word out that they are still searching for Magnon.

Officers with the Rayne Police Department believe that Magnon was the person who is responsible for a shooting that happened right in the middle of a dice game last month.

The dice game was being played in the 400 block of North Bradford Street, when Rayne officers say the 23-year-old Church Point man fired shots.

Not only is Dustin Magnon wanted as the alleged suspect in this shooting, officers say the man has a prior history with the law, and by conducting this shooting, he is also facing a charge of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

When they find the man he will be charged with that and with Attempted Second Degree Murder in connection with the March 25 shooting incident.

Do you think you know the whereabouts of Magnon. If you do know something, and you report it, you could be the recipient of cash.

Officials with the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers Program say that information given to authorities that leads to an arrest means you could make up to $1,000. But, they do stress you need to get the information to authorities as quickly as possible as the first one with the information that leads to the arrest will get the reward money.

Detectives with the Rayne Police Department describes Magnon as being a black male with black hair who is about 137 pounds in weight. The man has brown eyes and he is about five feet, five inches tall.

The number to call with information is the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers line at 337-789-TIPS(8477).  You do not have to say who you are.

Another anonymous way to tell authorities about Dustin Magnon is to download and use the P3 app on your phone.

Please help Rayne Police find this suspect.
