Acadia Parish Police Jury Warns Citizens Of A Scam
The Acadia Parish Police Jury wants to make the public aware of a scam that is making its rounds in their community.
Officials with the policy jury association says someone is contacted local residents, and the number that pops up on your caller ID is 337-788-8800.
This number is the number the Acadia Parish Police Jury, but they want residents of the parish to know that they are not calling you to ask for personal information.
They are also not soliciting people for any type of healthcare enrollment.
The APPJ reminds residents that the local government will not be calling you to try to see you a healthcare plan, so don't give out any personal information.
If you get this type of call, you can report this to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office by calling 337-788-8700.
