The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a 71-year-old man in the death of his estranged wife and her friend thirty years ago.

KALB is reporting that Robert "Bobby" Blair of Alexandria was arrested yesterday on two counts of first degree murder.

Officials say Blair is suspected of killing his estranged wife, Isabelle Blair and her friend, Marian Coutee.

The two women were seen travelling on Highway 71 at the time of their disappearance. Last week, a truck matching the description of the one they were known to be driving, was pulled from a pond on property that used to be owned by Bobby Blair's family.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff says that the two women disappeared in after Isabelle had filed for divorce from Bobby Blair.

Officials say no bond has been set yet in the case.
